Called to Perfect Holiness
In the readings for Sunday February 19th, the Father commands us to be holy; Paul states that we are the dwelling place of the Spirit of God; and Jesus calls us to “Be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.”...

You know the phrase: “Hate the sin, love the sinner…” God understands and forgives us… even after we have sinned – no matter how grievous it may be – as long as we repent – Jesus makes it possible for us to regain that which is most precious in our lives–our human dignity....

2-10-2017, Don't stick your keys into an electrical outlet and not expect to get your eyes opened.
When I was a 5 or 6 years old I got a hold of some extra keys that were laying around and was playing with them one night while my mom was making supper. Our stove in our kitchen had an electrical outlet installed on the face of it right above the oven door....

Why I love the rosary
I must admit, as a Protestant I strongly believed Catholics praying the Hail Mary or the rosary were placing Mary in the place of Jesus. I believed they were prayers to Mary and were treating her as a god. But, after crossing the Tiber I have grown to fall in love with the rosary – with the blessed ...

Forgive as He forgives
A recent gospel deals with a very important topic, forgiveness. St. Matthew says, "Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer yo...
