It was many years past when a story hit the news; a man’s only daughter, young, vibrant, and with a wonderful life ahead of her was raped, brutally tortured, and killed by a man who didn’t have an ounce of decency about himself....

A Tie That Can't Be Broken
Cerulean, a Luxonian dressed in casual twentieth-century blue jeans, a loose t-shirt, and slip-on shoes (he hated laces), rolled a shopping cart along the grocery aisle, following a woman and her young daughter....

Most of us wait until we're in trouble, and then we pray like the dickens. Wonder what would happen if, some morning, we'd wake up and say, "Anything I can do for You today, Lord?"
Consider just one point of context. While we might focus on the humility of the centurion, reflect by contrast on the power of the Lord....

God gives grace to the humble!....God favors the humble!...God blesses all who are humble!
Humility is one of the virtues, and silence is one form of humility. That’s why it’s often difficult to quiet ourselves down. When we’re forced to be silent, we usually want to talk instead....

I can’t even count how many seasons of the last six years I have been completely lost in the wilderness. Although I didn’t recognize it for what it was at the time, I can finally understand the purpose of these brief periods....

Three Great Woes of Catholic History, of Apocalypse: Protestantism, Enlightenment, and Godless Apostasy
Yessirree, in the Communism/Fascism article on Christian extremes, we saw that the associated Biblical numbers and theology place all these spiritual disorders in their proper place and with their own anti-Sacramental imagery and theology for take out and beyond....

"How I treat a brother or sister from day to day, how I react to the sin-scarred wino on the street, how I respond to interruptions from people I dislike, how I deal with normal people in their normal confusion on a normal day may be a better indication of my reverence for life than the antiabortion sticker on the bumper of my car." - Think about it………!
We all know that it’s very hard to live out these admonitions. But it’s good to remember that Jesus is not only our teacher, who set us an example on the Cross. He is also our Savior, who from the Cross on Good Friday bestows grace upon all who beseech Him as they strive to imitate Him....
