Red Alert! All Hands to Battle Stations!
Our Mother the Church is under siege. False prophets distort her teachings to turn the hearts and minds of Catholics. Large numbers have left the Church, especially our young people. Many of those remaining are confused about the Church’s teachings....

What A Sad Day For Prayer Warriors On The Front Lines At Planned Parenthood
Prayer Warriors Trevor, Matt, Pete, Tony, Bruce and Rick prayed at Planned Parenthood in Bedford for all the people driving by. We are all very concerned about the recently exposed war against our Catholic faith by some politicians and their staff in the WikiLeaks emails....

Why did God create bad people?
A common objection from skeptics of Christianity is why did God create people that went so bad? If sin is real, why create people who are susceptible to sin?...

I Remember, I Remember
I remember the bomb that smashed that window into pieces and spread them over my bed and all over the bedroom floor. I remember cutting my feet, as I ran for the open door. I remember seeing Our Lady’s statue, as I ran down the stairs, and the Sacred Heart looking down on me from his picture on the ...

Is it Sinful to Watch Horror Movies?
I recently had a conversation with a man about horror films. As a father, he doesn’t let his children watch scary movies because he thinks they open up the viewer to evil; this is a fair judgment on the part of my friend....

Even if we have ourselves so fully convinced that we are on the right track because we desperately want to believe that the specific direction we have chosen is the "correct one", if God disagrees with our choices, He will not be shy in telling us so.
We may condemn most of the people of our Lord's time for their refusal to accept the good news preached to them. However, we just have to look at the world around us and see that we are no different from them because humanity throughout the ages has not changed much....

Living the Mysteries
Two weeks after being elected as Pope, St. John Paul II gave the members of the Church a glimpse into one of his secrets to sanctity when he admitted that the “Rosary is my favorite prayer. A marvelous prayer! Marvelous in its simplicity and its depth.” Its simplicity is marked by its humanity....

Our Lady and Motherly Intervention
Tis the Month of the Rosary! This excites me now, but If I’m being perfectly honest, I didn't start to pray the rosary until I was in high school. In fact, I did not believe in the doctrines of Our Lady until after I was confirmed....

Here I am LORD! Use me as you will!
When Dawn called and asked me to speak to the Confirmation Class. I hesitated in my mind. I was a little scared. I’m intimidated by teenagers. You’re so smart. You know so much about computers and phones and IPods and IPads. I’m confused by all that stuff....

Why Follow the "Rules" When You Can Just "Follow Your Heart"?
In a world that has made the word “freedom” synonymous with “I can do whatever I want as long as I’m not ‘hurting’ anyone”, the question of why we need rules in society, and why we should keep them, often comes up in daily life. And that question comes up even more when it pertains to religion....

Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged...
Judge all you want where I’m concerned! Many of you won’t like what I’m about to say because it may challenge your faith to its roots …but I stand by each and every word. I believe I am doing my best to enlighten the under-educated with regards to their faith, in an attempt to save the lives of t...

"Conversion becomes possible the very moment a man ceases to blame God or life and begins to blame himself"
What happens after a person accepts salvation from Jesus? Can he or she live a good Christian life without working hard at growing in holiness daily? It's easy to get lazy on the path to heaven. It's also easy to give in to the impulses of our flesh-nature. It takes conscious and conscientious forwa...

Will Evil Destroy Our Country During the 2016 Presidential Election Or Will Trump Triumph Over Demonic Forces
Donald Trump's recent video from 11 years ago shows a callous disregard for women, crass behavior and lewd language that is common in men before they come to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Trump is supposedly a new Christian according to some reports. If this is true, let's cut him some slac...

Jesus Warns Against Pride
Ever since the September 11th terrorist attacks fifteen years ago, radio stations often play Lee Greenwood’s poignant song, “Proud to be an American.” Now, it’s a nice song, but I’m not much of a country music fan. (Just too many heart-breaking stories about unfaithful relationships and deceased dog...

Wire Monkey Mommas
Many years ago in college I studied about the experiment of orphaned monkeys being fed by a wire framed “momma, “and the effect it had on the animal. The baby was given the choice of being fed by a wire frame with a bottle attached or going to a fur covered frame with no bottle or nourishment that w...

Perseverance is a great grace. To go on gaining and advancing every day, we must be resolute, and bear and suffer as our blessed forerunners did. Which of them gained heaven without a struggle?
Even for those who are striving to have an authentic relationship with God, there are times of profound suffering and sorrow. At other times, there is joy and happiness beyond words. In all these ups and downs, we must ask for the grace of perseverance to remain faithful....

Let us read bits from John Chapter 15, especially the bits I have marked in bold: 5 I am the vine, and you are the branches. Whoever remains in me, and I in him, will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without me....
